SPACE-2 Events have provided Heat Magazine with a BrandHub for their latest activity, a Celebrity! Portrait Collection. For the first time, HEAT is opening its doors to the extensive archive of celebrity photographs, presenting a selection of photographs in a brand new exhibition. Open to the public now until 9th December at the Brunswick Centre.

In recognition of the need to provide a dedicated resource to our growing photographic and multimedia customer base, we have recruited James McGowan as Multimedia and Stills Co-ordinator. James joins us having spent the last 12 months as a construction project manager in Kabul, Afghanistan. In his spare time though, he is studying for his Diploma in Photography at the Institute of Photography.
Mark Hughes-WebbBefore setting up SPACE-2 Consulting, Mark spent two and a half years in-house with the UK's largest commercial property company, Land Securities Plc, as their Business Development Manager in the Commercialisation team working across the office, retail and outsourced portfolios. With a remit to identify non-rental income streams, Mark set-up the filming and event locations service. Mark founded SPACE-2 Consulting in May 2006 and since then has been instrumental in developing the range of services the company offers. As well as being responsible for business development across the services, Mark manages the team and acts as the main point of contact for all property clients.
Mark graduated in law from the University of Exeter and stayed on for a sabbatical year as the University's RAG Charities Events Co-ordinator. He then worked for one of the UK's leading commercial conference companies, initially as a conference producer and then as the Head of the Defence Team.
He then went on to set-up MSM Conferences, a spin-off division of a financial publishers, before moving to work at one of the UK's leading technology PR companies, Firefly Communications, as their Event Services Manager.
Roger Webb ACMARoger is a Chartered Management Accountant and is responsible for the accounting, finance and procurement functions for SPACE-2 Consulting. Following 25 years with IBM and 10 years with manufacturing conglomerate, Seton House Group, in senior accounting positions, Roger joined SPACE-2 at its launch and is instrumental in developing business plans and projections for SPACE-2's developing services.
Louise BradleyLouise joined SPACE-2 from Land Securities where she worked with Mark developing the filming & locations service. Louise has over the last 6 years been involved in co-ordinating a wide range of activities from large feature films to TV dramas to events and production offices. Her experience has led to her developing the training for SPACE-2's location co-ordinators as well as advising property clients on the procedures and policies they should adopt in order to facilitate filming.
Having grown up in Yorkshire, Louise has responsibility for developing SPACE-2's client's northern locations and is also involved with establishing a more sustainable production base in the North.
Prior to working at Land Securities, Louise worked for conference producer, SMi, developing conference programmes in the international telecoms sector.
Corinne CaptalPassionate about events, Corinne started her career in the industry 14 years ago in the Principality of Monaco.
In 2000, she moved to the UK and joined a fast growing London-based publishing company specialising in the financial and pensions industry for which she successfully developed and managed the
company’s events department. During 7 years, she was responsible for the management and marketing of events, UK and international client service,departmental budgets and annual forecasts, as well as
the management of a team of 8 event managers and co-ordinators. Her annual portfolio included 35 events (B2B conferences, exhibitions and awards ceremonies) in the UK, Europe, the United States and
Canada welcoming between 80 and 1,400 attendees.
After this challenging and extremely enriching experience, Corinne freelanced for a year. She was responsible for the complete event management of 2 financial awards ceremonies in London, she project
managed a road show in the UK and conferences and exhibitions in Paris, Cannes, Hong Kong and Nice in the pensions, energy, IT, pharmaceutical and airport industries.
Corinne joined SPACE-2 in December 2008 where she’s heading the company’s events department.
Since then, she’s been involved in the event management of several conferences,
exhibitions and product launches and has helped finding and managing innovative and memorable venues for a number of events.
Corinne speaks fluent French and English and conversational German and Italian. She loves travelling and discovering different cultures but after 9 years in the UK, she’s still not sure about driving
on the other side of the road!
Anna MacLeod Anna studied for a BA at Liverpool John Moores University where she read Screen Studies. Through the degree she was able to analyse many forms of films
from World cinema and Anime, to European film and American Independent cinema. As well as studying the history of filmmaking Anna also made her own films from experimental shorts to
documentary.
Following her graduation Anna read an MA at Bournemouth Media School in Broadcast and Film Management. For her dissertation Anna produced "An investigation into the changes taking place in
the sourcing and utilisation of locations for film and television production and their impact on tourism and the economy" - admittedly the longest dissertation title in history but one which
makes her more qualified than anyone to work for SPACE-2!
An interest in location management lead Anna to join the team at SPACE-2 in February 2008 as filming and events co-ordinator. Since then she has been responsible for co-ordinating and managing in
excess of 100 filming and photographic shoots.
Holly joins us having completed a BA in Photography from the London College of Communication and following a stint working on feature film, Nanny McPhee. Working closely with Anna and Louise, Holly looks after our retail locations as well as scouting new locations and researching for tv and film projects.
Holly has just been accepted on the Assistant Location Managers Training Course run by Film London and will be comparing the theory with the practice in coming months!
She has recently experienced her first reality TV shoot living on location for a week in a Grade II listed mansion in Surrey and is still recovering.....
James joins us from a 12 month stint project managing a construction project in Kabul. If this is not enough experience of an extreme environment for the type of locations we look after we are not sure what is. James' passion for photography is being fulfilled partly by his studying for a Diploma in Photography at the Institute of Photography but also now in his day-to-day handling of all photography and multi-media filming location enquiries at SPACE-2. James is also our roving locations photographer ensuring that all our new locations look as exciting as they can.
Vera DearmanVera began working for SPACE-2 Consulting in August 2008 and heads up the arts & culture service, SPACE-2 Experience.
Born in Moscow, Vera completed a degree in Linguistics and Philosophy with a minor in History of Fine Art at Moscow State University before taking a PhD at Sheffield University in Critical and
Cultural Theory. She held a lectureship in Russian and Slavonic Studies at the University of Manchester for three years. After leaving academia she worked in publishing, production and freelanced for
International Trade and Exhibitions Ltd developing, planning and promoting events held in London for Russian and Eastern European businesses.
Her most recent projects have included working on showcasing Concrete and Glass -- a Shoreditch based festival of music and contemporary art; Faile -- a collection of urban art and graffiti; and Arts
Catalyst -- an exploration of the destructive power of nuclear weapons.
She also acts as the main point of contact in the UK for The Living Bolshoi Exhibition -- a world first insight into the inner workings of Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre, a programme put together by Vera,
which it is hoped will be hosted in London in 2010.
Vera brings to the job a lifetime passion in the arts coupled with research skills from academia and business where she was a Research Editor at Factiva (a Dow Jones and Reuters Company) for five
years.
David TodDavid recently joined SPACE-2 having just graduated with a BA in Business Management from Nottingham University. During his studies he completed modules in quantative analysis, computers in business and business planning and presentation
He joined SPACE-2 as an intern Market Analyst providing in-depth research into target customer target markets as well as analysis of the portfolio of BrandHubs being compiled through SPACE-2
Consulting's extensive property client base.
He now works closely with Mark Hughes-Webb on business development initaitives across the business.
Jackie SettleJackie joins us from the accounts department of a private hospital. She was previously a Finance Officer with South Warwickshire Tourism having spent most of her career working in a number of roles for IBM including as a financial analyst.
She works with Roger to ensure that the business's customers have a designated point of contact for queries relating to invoicing and payments as well as providing additional support to the management team in relation to funding and expenditure control.
