Recognising the need for specialist knowledge and location management experience when filming in the rail environment, SPACE-2 have set-up the service to provide advice and management to production companies as well as provide representation and onsite co-ordination services to TOCs, Heritage and private lines and related railway locations. 

SPACE-2 Rail aims to give advice and support to commercial filmakers looking to film in, on or around railways to enable them to produce realistic shoots that reflect the period or situation that the script requires whilst at the same time giving producers/directors and location managers practical advice in how to achieve the shot in the most cost effective, practical and risk-controlled way.

For railway asset managers and train operators, SPACE-2 Rail provides a dedicated resource to not only promote your location and trains and your interest in hosting commercial filming but also to give onsite assistance when hosting shoots whether it be on a train, at a station or in a rail related environment.

In order to do this, SPACE-2 have taken on a highly experienced location manager with extensive expertise and knowledge of filming in and around trains, who combined with SPACE-2's existing location co-ordinator pool, enables us to service shoots across the UK.
